They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.Responsibilities:Monitor marine market trends, analyzing and defining short and long-term marine transportation options to develop optimal product delivery strategies.Identify optimal vessels, negotiate rates and short and long-term charter party terms.Define all commercial and contractual details for negotiated charter party terms.Develop and provide market research on vessel availability and freight economics, terminal projects and shipping competitors.Coordinate closely with schedulers to nominate tonnage in a manner that will optimize system freight costs, minimize demurrage and ensure timely delivery of cargoes.Communicate and liaise with shipowners and utility companies, and network and maintain relationships with market players to keep abreast of market developments and opportunities.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to build a fundamental shipping model in order enable strategy decisions.Coordinate, analyze, and prepare transportation plan documents, ensuring quality and completion.Coordinate and analyze shipping operations expenses calculation and review, covering fuel-bunker and ship maintenance.Coordinate, monitor and analyze fuel bunker consumption, ship maintenance, dry-docking and activity to ensure all processes are completed effectively.Coordinate and analyze the consolidation of information and reports on issues during loading, sailing and discharging to ensure availability of timely reports.Coordinate and participate in compatibility studies between ship and shore for buyers’ terminal to ensure all requirements and conditions are incorporated for effective and efficient shipping operations.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline; an MBA or a relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.At least 15 years of professional experience in commercial shipping roles, with a proven track record of negotiation of long-term charter party agreements.Proven ability to analyze market data, develop models, use derivatives and identify commercial opportunities.Proven effective negotiating skills and commercial judgment.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multinational teams.
