ROLE DESCRIPTION SPECIFC DELIVERABLES 1) Co-ordinate early involvement with R D design team on all new product development share improvements required from existing product. 2) Co-ordinate with R D sustenance team for improvements required in existing product to improve product reliability, yield improvement, assembly rejection reduction, jig fixture validation improvement, design of Tooling Fixtures.3) Smooth Productionization of the new products, starting from proto assembly, pilot assembly to production of first 3 batches with 95% yield.4) Responsible for giving inputs to the R D team during the concept reviews for DFM/DFA.5) Assist Manufacturing / assembly Quality engineering to implement new equipment changes to processes through Training, ECN/ECO implementation process.6) Implementing Equipment Qualification /Process Qualification, SPC, Poka-Yoke, SOP, Work Instruction, Job Card Setup approvals, FMEA, implement Quality Systems on assembly cells, 7) Conceptualize, identify the scope for process improvement, productivity improvement by introducing low-cost automation projects.8) Evaluates manufacturing / assembly processes at the early stages of the production processes for new products for existing products.9) Develops manufacturing / assembly and assembly processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.10) Improves manufacturing / assembly efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.11) Assures product and process quality by designing required manufacturing / assembly processes and assembly with new technologies.12) Provides manufacturing / assembly decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs.13) Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.14) Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.15) Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.16) Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.17) Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.18) Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Responsible to Work with Stake holder for understanding the requirement for developing a new equipment for new product or for an existing product. 2) Set-up a New Line or upgrading of existing line/Equipment’s as per the output capacity requirement.3) Responsible for line balancing, capacity calculation and line capacity finalization by conducting time study. 4) Responsible for understanding customer requirement and translate into technical specification by considering the product Process characteristic, Safety, ergonomics, Poka-yoke, etc.,5) Create and develop concept drawing of making of layout for new assembly lines, special purpose machines, Jigs and fixtures- Tooling and gauges for all products. 6) Responsible for discussing the concept with stake holders, get mutual understand and get initial buy for making the proposal.7) Responsible for implementing Manufacturing / assembly Flow Charts, Standard Work, procedures, Control Plans and FMEAs as prescribed by ISO standards and ABS. (For New Line/Existing line)8) Responsible for Sending an enquiry to different supplier to get quotes, make the techno commercial comparison and evaluate in terms of Function, Performance and Cost aspects.9) Responsible for Raising the Capex by making the budgetary proposal along with justification for Management approval.10) Co-ordinate and ensure release Purchase order to supplier on time.11) Responsible for qualification of the tools| equipment or Line |Layout mapping etc… at both supplier end plant end as well.12) Responsible for Making process documentation such as PFD, PFMEA, Control plan, process sheet, SOP, WI Manuals etc.13) Responsible for providing training to the operator and other stake holders from Manufacturing / assembly |Maintenance |Quality.14) Responsible to Trouble Shooting in Process Equipment tools by using the Problem-solving techniques using 8D and or Six Sigma approach15) Preparing the capacity analysis and creating new facilities for production and where-houseKEY SKILLS: · Leadership competency such as result oriented, customer focus, etc.· Leading team by setting an example with successful on time project implementation.· Knowledge about in CREO, AutoCAD or any other 3D modelling software· Proficient in using MS-office tools· Experience in implementing KAIZEN, POKAYOKE, Lean manufacturing concepts.· Six sigma yellow belt / green belt.· Hands on experience in project management.
