About the team The IMCS DBA team operates within Managed Cloud Services and overseas managed database services on a global scale. As a shared model DBA team, we are providing support to 30+ MSP customers. Responsibilities : stylemargin:bottom:11.0px: : Database Deployment and Management, deploying and managing Azure SQL databases in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment. : Configuring and optimizing databases for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency : Provideday:to:day database managementand support including overseeing and guiding team members. : Monitor the system s health and performance. : Ensure high levels ofperformance,availability,sustainability, andsecurityof databases. : Conducting regular testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity. : Managing database scaling based on workload demands. : Implementing auto:scaling and resource optimization strategies : Analyze ,solve, andcorrectissues in real:time. : Providesuggestionsfor solutions. : Proficient in Azure SQL Database administration and management. : Strong experience in Geo:Replication, Active Geo:Replication, Failover Groups, Zone:redundant Databases. : Automatic Tuning, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Point:in:Time Restore : Install ,configure,troubleshoot, andmaintaina database system. : Implement,maintain, andtest disaster recoverystrategies. : Implement, maintain, and test database backup and recovery strategies. : Manage the database capacity to ensure that it can meet the needs of the organization. : Lead theset:up,testing, anddeploymentof new databases, migrations, and upgrades. : Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. : Mentor junior DBAs on the team. : Continuously evaluate emerging SQL Server technologies and recommend best practices for database management. : Provide24x7 supportfor critical production systems. Qualification : stylemargin:bottom:11.0px: : Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field. : 7+ years of experience in a SQL Server DBA or similar role. : Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools. : Advanced knowledge ofdatabase security,backup and recovery, andperformance monitoringstandards. : Strong analytical,problem:solving skillsandattention to detail. : Ability towork independentlyand as part of ateam. : Excellentoral and written communication skills.
