Senior devops engineer

Engineering Experience (EXP) comprises leaders, product managers, software and DevOps engineers, and business analysts, all aligned on delivering broad value across numerous enablement spaces, from public cloud technologies to developer portals and observability tools. EXP partners closely with its stakeholders within Cimpress Technology and beyond to enable hyper:localized and business:wide outcomes that enhance the engineering experience and journey of our companies products, services, and customers. The Yeti team within EXP supports the Cimpress Technology development community by offering guidance and tools to minimize the time spent on repetitive operational tasks, allowing more focus on providing value to end:customers. At the heart of our development philosophy lies a strong emphasis on data, automation, iterative development, and best practices. As a DevOps Engineer (PR2), youll be part of a skilled engineering group responsible for upholding quality DevOps, observability, and reliability concepts throughout the organization. What You Will Do: :Engage with customersto understand their challenges and provide them with customized solutions to meet their observability needs, using a combination of SaaS, open source, and internal tools. (GitLab, New Relic, PagerDuty, and more) :Support SaaS productsin a production environment along with general best practices on how the business can best leverage those products. :Communicate and collaborateeffectively in an asynchronous work environment, ensuring clarity and demonstrating iterative, value:driven development. :Break downcomplex projects into manageble tasks, develop proof of concepts, and architectscalable solutions. :Teach engineersthe 3 Ways of DevOps and how them in real:world development and deployment scenarios. :Create and curatedocumentation to promote the best practices of observability and reliability concepts. :Identify potential problemsthat customers have with keeping up with their reliability practices. (SLO/SLI, Error Budgets, etc) :Frequently participatein code reviews and contribute to maintaining high:quality code. :Develop and maintaininternal automation tools, focusing on applying clean code, MVP principles, and test:driven development. Your Qualifications: :Excellent oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English. :Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience in a related field. :Demonstrated experience working on a team in a similar role. :Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python or Javascript, to automate tasks and contribute to development projects. :Genuine passion for DevOps, continuous learning, and experimentation methodologies. :Self:driven attitude with the initiative to pursue solutions and seek learning opportunities. :Experience with Agile methodologies like JIRA or other Issue Tracking systems. :Ability to consistently manage and prioritize planned and unplanned work during sprint cycles. :4:6 years of experience with AWS technologies such as CloudWatch, CloudFormation, IAM, and deploying Lambda, API Gateway, and ECS. :4:6 years of experience of Git Operations and/or source code management (SCM) solutions. :4:6 years of experience of continuous integration and continuous deployment. (GitLab CI, Jenkins) :4:6 years of experience with containerization (Docker, Gitlab, Kubernetes). :Exposure to the three pillars of Software Observability including logging, metrics, and traces. :Understanding of alerting practices and incident metrics such as MTTA/MTTR. :Strong foundational knowledge with Reliability concepts (SRE) such as SLA/SLO/SLI and error budgets. :Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders.
