Lead piping stress engineer

As a globally inclusive and diverse company, they have employed approximately 14,000 people around the world and serves customers in more than 100 countries.Responsibilities:As a Piping lead Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and ensuring piping systems meet industry standards and project specifications. This role requires expertise in stress analysis, a deep understanding of piping codes and standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaboration with different stake holders.Familiar with the ASME, API and other industry-related standards.Identify different stress packages through a review of P IDs and preparation of stress critical line list.Performs piping flexibility analysis (static and dynamic) for critical piping systems during the preliminary design and detailed design phase of the Project.Strong Stress analysis concepts and be able to solve critical stress and nozzle load issues.Perform pipe stress analysis for different equipment like Compressors, Centrifugal Pumps, tanks, exchangers, heaters, columns, Vessels etc.Calculate and estimate piping loads on piping racks, structures, and vessel platforms etc.Ensure Coordinate with Civil/Structural Mechanical groups to ensure loads are being effectively communicated.Strong piping support design concepts.Knowledge of pipe support, including the use of snubbers, rigid struts, and spring sway braces.Calculate and select variable and constant spring hangers.Create the stress analysis isometrics including all required data for support definition.Prepare piping stress analysis reports considering project specifications.Prepare Data sheet/ Spec/Material Requisitions/Technical bid evaluation for Spring Hangers, Expansion Joints, and any miscellaneous pipe supports like U-Bolts.Requirements:Bachelor of Technology in mechanical engineering.12-20 years of relevant experience in the Chemical, Oil Gas industry. Should be an effective Team player and possess good communication skills.Very good and in-depth Knowledge of stress analysis software with Caesar II.
