They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.Responsibilities:Identify and propose value-driven opportunities at the asset-level and on a regional basis to enhance overall profitability, aligning with the company’s strategy and long-term goals.Evaluate the impact of market changes on the economics and competitiveness of capital program projects.Review and provide input on the inclusion of new projects in investment plans, and update plans accordingly.Conduct feasibility studies on refineries and petrochemical facilities, emphasizing technical and economic justifications and developing long-term business strategies.Assess growth project proposals and joint venture offtake arrangements.Assist in the technical development and economic justification of capital programs.Perform process, system, and economic evaluations of existing and potential refining and petrochemical facilities.Direct evaluations of major refining and petrochemical facilities conducted by others.Prepare and deliver presentations to corporate management on refining and petrochemical investment opportunities.Mentor less experienced facilities planning professionals.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in refining and chemicals, with at least five years dedicated to strategy and capital planning programs.Experience in providing consultation and conducting refining and strategy-related reviews and studies, both independently and as part of a team.Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, and calculation methods.Expertise in international business and cross-cultural professional practices.
