About our client:Our Client operates in the Oil and Energy industry, with its headquarters rooted strongly in Saudi Arabia. They are one of the world’s largest oil producers. They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.Responsibilities:Serve as the foremost subject matter expert in Downstream strategy and scenario planning.Prepare research, special studies, and market analysis for the Downstream Strategy Council and other relevant committees, contributing to the development of scenarios.Collaborate within a team of strategists to articulate the overarching strategy for the Fuels Business Unit (BU) and formulate outlook scenarios.Work alongside strategists and planners to develop long-term strategic plans for the Fuels BU, including capital and resource allocation.Foster strong relationships with think tanks and industry experts to stay updated on key developments in the global Downstream business and other relevant areas impacting the company s competitive performance (e.g., technology, geopolitics, regulations, government plans, industry trends).Independently conduct research on a wide range of topics related to long-term scenarios impacting the company s competitive advantage in the Downstream business, and prepare relevant analyses and studies for the Strategic Council and other corporate committees.Requirements:Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management, or a closely related specialty.Continuous professional development through personal study, relevant work experiences, seminars, professional contacts, and extension courses, demonstrating steadily advancing competence.15 years of experience in a combination of refining, chemicals, trading, and retail marketing business within an international integrated O G/Downstream company or a global energy think tank/consulting firm, with at least 5 years specifically focused on strategy formulation, scenario planning, and/or strategic planning.Excellent written and oral technical presentation skills.
