They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.Responsibilities:Advises Corporate Management on the development of the Company’s strategic goals and plans for its Digital and IT business. Contributes to the Company’s corporate strategy development and update process, especially as it pertains to articulating and crafting its Digital strategy, including coordination with other business strategists and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the organization and the various business and support lines.Plays a pivotal role in shaping the company s approach to digital transformation, exploring opportunities for growth, assessing market trends, and offering strategic recommendations. The responsibilities will involve conducting thorough research, analyzing data, evaluating potential partnerships or acquisitions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of digital initiatives.Reviews the Company’s business and investment plans in the Digital and IT space, as well as strategic fit assessment of key investments, to ensure alignment with the Company’s strategic plan. Generates and proposes to corporate and executive management strategic options backed up with the appropriate analysis. Also, facilitates periodic strategy execution reviews to measure progress of the Digital strategy, and identify early warning signs and possible areas of adjustment.Independently initiates and prepares research on wide-ranging topics that look into long-term scenarios and strategic considerations that could impact the Company’s strategy and competitive advantage in its Digital and IT business. Also, prepares research and special studies as required for the Strategy Market Analysis organization and various Corporate Committees.Cultivates key matrix relationships across the organization, and be able to persuade counterparts at different levels and advance corporate strategic thinking to ensure the organization is proactive in developing or adjusting its strategy.Builds and maintains strong relationships with industry experts, consultancies, and best-in-class companies, keeping abreast of key developments in the Digital and IT space and other arenas that could impact the company’s strategy. Provides coaching and mentorship to junior staff.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a related engineering discipline, Computer Science, IT or MIS; an advanced degree and/or MBA are preferred.Must have 12+ years of experience in developing and advising on Digital Transformation projects with a major integrated energy company, an IT company, or a top-tier consulting firm, with at least 5 years in a strategy or corporate planning function. Must be a digital savvy with a deep understanding of advanced digital technologies and trends, specifically: AI, ML, Robotics, Cloud Computing, Advanced Connectivity, and Cybersecurity, including market and investment trends, policy and regulatory environment, commercialization, and market entry strategies.Strong exposure across different technology verticals, particularly: IR 4.0, Digital Supply Chain, FinTech, Smart Cities, IoT, Sustainability, and Metaverse.Strong understanding of the Digital and IT business operating models, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Governance Models and Agile methodologies.Have a good grasp of the Oil and Gas industry and the latest global trends impacting it including but not limited to: renewables, decarbonization, Hydrogen and low carbon initiatives.Must have strong quantitative skills to develop financial or operational models and conduct data analysis.Must have a proven ability to effectively challenge conventional thinking, and influence others to do the same. Must have a proven ability to quickly build and maintain positive and effective networks with internal and external stakeholders of all organizational levels.Must have a proven ability to develop a positive, effective and collaborative rapport with senior management, co-workers, and stakeholders using tact and diplomacy. Must have demonstrative ability to effectively coach and mentor multi-national junior staff. Must have excellent English written and oral communication skills. Fully proficient with Microsoft Office tools or equivalent, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
