They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.Responsibilities:Participate in new facilities design review and ensure compliance with SA engineering standards from corrosion and materials selection stand point.Review facilities mothballing and preservation procedures and ensure SAEP-43 provisions are met.Develop corrosion control document in line with SAEP-88Conduct annual review of dead-legs within EWPD in accordance with 00-SAIP-01.Work diligently to enhance EWPD Corrosion Control Compliance Index score by identifying Areas for Improvements (AFIs) and developing short- and long-term plans to address the AFIs.Plan annual on-stream scrapingTrack on-stream scraping progress and support operation in evaluating the impact of deferred on-stream scraping runsReview on-stream scraping report filled by operation post scraping.Evaluate effectiveness of on-stream scraping for each pipeline.Coordinate sampling activities part of the on-stream scraping process.Evaluate sampling results and issue recommendations.Communicate with upstream facilities for any out of specs streams.Review internal corrosion, evaluate different chemical treatment alternatives, select the proper chemical product and specify the dosage for each pipeline.Requirements:As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized and approved program, Certified API-571 or NACE CP-4 and Certified NACE corrosion SpecialistYou will have 8 years of experience in oil and gas industry, including at least one year in corrosion related fields.
