Shift supervisor warehouse

About our client:Our client is a world-class integrated petrochemical plant producing high-density and medium-density polyethylene, 1-hexene and other products, using state-of-the-art technology. They have a production designed capacity of 453,000 tonnes/year of PE and a 1-hexene unit with a designed capacity of 47,000 tonnes/year. The site also has a Sulphur recovery and solidification plant, a water treatment plant, seawater cooling system, dock facilities and administrative buildings. Their vision is to grow sustainably, in alignment with Qatar National Vision and became the leader of world class operators in the petrochemical industry by 2027.Responsibilities:Supervise the activities and work performed by direct reports to ensure that it is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, in line with the business plans, and company policies and procedures.Identify employees’ training and developmental needs and recommend plans to bridge the knowledge gaps to ensure continuous progression, and high-level of competence within the team.Recommend employees’ training and developmental needs and in conjunction with Human Capital Department bridge the knowledge gaps to ensure continuous progression, and high-level of competence within the team.Train and coach direct reports, ensure operators are trained and certified as required, and participate in evaluation of operators in OJT and Solo Phase to develop a team of cross trained operators.Manage the performance management process by setting annual objectives, and developing staff through mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback.Provide feedback in regard to baseload contractor performance.Ensure operators comply with all company policies, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and Daily Operating Instructions.Set the shift schedules and coordinate manpower to ensure adequate manpower allocation in the shift in order to ensure required task are safely completed (i.e., operator work area assignments, vacation approvals, overtime assignments, shift rotations, training coverage, coverage for shift vacancies, time approval, etc.).Requirements:Should have good knowledge in Warehousing.Should have hands-on experience in Packaging.Should be well versed with the Logistics activity.Education:Candidate should have minimum Bachelor of Science OR Engineering.
