About our client:Our Client operates in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry, with its headquarters rooted strongly in Singapore. It has its branches spread to more than 5 countries, providing employment to 250 people. Their core business is to represent their client in countries that they do not operate in, and market/sell their products for them. They have achieved a wide client base in a very short time, and are looking for new talent.Job description:The business unit head will be responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing functions for the division’s product portfolio. Reporting directly the senior management team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving commercial success and achieving revenue targets. This is a highly strategic and influential position that requires exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of the consumer industry.Responsibilities:Business management:Develop and implement effective sales strategies for nicotine range of product, targeting multiple sales channels, including retail, pharmacies, supermarket, online, wholesale, and distribution partners.Manage the business unit s P L, closely monitoring budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and business strategies to enhance brand positioning for sell through.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment to achieve business objectives.Lead and manage the sales and marketing team to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.New business development:Build business case for new portfolios and/or new product introductions into the country.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product life cycle management, from launch strategies to lifecycle planning.Conduct market insights and market data analysis for new product introduction from customers and consumersDevelop consumer purchase cycle and product forecast for the products.Marketing implementation:Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential challenges in the competitive environment.Develop and led execution an omnichannel experience strategy to optimize customer engagement and maximize sales and marketing efforts.Engage key influencers and trade stakeholders to promote products effectively.Requirements:A bachelor s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing roles within the consumer industryProven track record of driving revenue growth, achieving sales targets, and effectively managing P L for product portfolios.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.In-depth knowledge of the consumer area especially OTC, including key products and market dynamics.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
