Responsibilities:Based in our Madrid office and being part of the Indirect Materials and Services Procurement Centre of Expertise, the Global Procurement Category Leader for In Market Distribution will cover the following objectives:Develop Global Category Strategic Procurement plan by interacting with key collaborators, analysing category data and indicators to drive and deliver end-to-end category management practices in line with overall functional strategies.Master market and industry dynamics by connecting trends and applying solutions to achieve business aims.Implement Global and Regional strategies by engaging with internal multi-functional partners and establishing relationships with external suppliers and industry professionals while adhering to processes and recommending improvements to standard processes.Focus on cost improvement by achieving significant savings year over year, while maintaining and improving quality and service levels.Support top line growth via innovation and recommending and deploying value-adding initiatives.Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process with key suppliersEnsure category plans remain current and regional heads/key affiliates are advised and involved accordingly to support global projects as agreed in the category plan.Develop mechanisms and metrics to measure supplier performance against delivery, quality, and cost targets.Ensure efficient communication with Regional Supply Chain business partners and senior leaders.Requirements:University degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or related fields.Experience in Supply Chain related fields at global or regional level with high specialization in Road Transportation and Warehousing for In-Market Distribution. Knowledge on E-Commerce and Omnichannel distribution is a must.Proven experience procuring these services / answering tenders for end customers.Background of strategic sourcing, market analysis, long-term strategy development, risk management, negotiations, supplier selection and management, cost reductions and cash flowConfirmed data analysis ability and high capability with Microsoft Office suite of programs.Strong verbal and written communication, plus validated capability presenting to senior leadership.Result oriented with capability to deliver strategic and critical thinking always with commercial objectives in mind.Proficiency in English, other languages are a plus.
