They are constantly growing by creating new technologies through its Research and Development efforts and branch into new business lines through Investments and Acquisitions.Responsibilities : Perform review of engineering design packages prepared by others in support of ongoing Capital and Maintain Potential projectsDevelop and interpret code and standard requirements for concrete and civil designsParticipate in Engineering Standard development and reviewsConduct vendor technical assessments for manufacturers of concrete, asphalt, precast concrete and cement mortar lining and similar commoditiesConduct technical/structural inspections and assessments of existing structures.Conduct condition assessment of existing concrete structures, infrastructure and assets.Conduct condition assessment and failure evaluation of asphalt pavements for roads, parking and airfields.Develop and review plans and/or scope of work for repair or rehabilitation of concrete and civil structures.Develop and review hydrology and Storm water management plans and specifications.Support ongoing Innovation/Technology programs and strategic initiativesAssess new and emerging technologies for civil/structural applicationsAct as a professional mentor to developing structural engineers and specialistsRequirements : Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. Master’s Degree is a plus.Professional Engineering or Chartered Engineering CertificationMinimum eight (8) years of professional engineering experienceIn-depth knowledge and experience in: concrete mix specifications, suitability and compliance; precast and prestressed concrete design, manufacturing and installation; concrete repair and durability; sulfur pit design and specification; specification, use and quality control of construction materials; roofing, water/weather proofing and sealing design and material specification; epoxy, grouting and adhesive materials; road design, construction and specification; asphalt pavement mix design, assessment and maintenance; Construction material testing procedures and laboratory data interpretation; hydrology and stormwater management and design principles; use of non-metallic materials in building and construction; and sustainable construction materials and methods.Familiarity and good understanding of ACI, ASTM, ASCE, AASHTO and FAA codes and standards for concrete, pavement and civil materials
