About our client:Our client is a world-class integrated petrochemical plant producing high-density and medium-density polyethylene, 1-hexene and other products, using state-of-the-art technology. They have a production designed capacity of 453,000 tonnes/year of PE and a 1-hexene unit with a designed capacity of 47,000 tonnes/year. The site also has a Sulphur recovery and solidification plant, a water treatment plant, seawater cooling system, dock facilities and administrative buildings. Their vision is to grow sustainably, in alignment with Qatar National Vision and became the leader of world class operators in the petrochemical industry by 2027.Responsibilities:Operational Excellence and Process Safety Participate in the PHA and MOC process by providing technical inputs and evaluating recommendations to ensure operational feasibility and compliance to safety standards.Investigate incidents, provide and evaluate recommendations from PHA to ensure timely implementation of the process. Process Optimization and Plant Performance EvaluationsImplement Advance Process Control System through proper awareness and specialization to optimize the process.Monitor the plant parameters daily and evaluate the plant performance by providing recommendations in order to improve technical processes.Manage material and energy balance, compare with design and assist the plant management in facilitating processes to run the plant efficiently and economically.Provide engineering assistance on technical aspects to the Operations Group, conduct evaluation and selection of equipment based on technical requirements to meet engineering standards.Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of technical department’s systems, policies, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practices’ in order to improve productivity and operational efficiency.Provide critical input to support the development of Engineering systems, policies, processes, and procedures in order to meet business requirements.Ensure team members comply with all Engineering policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Qatarization:Contribute to the development of Qatari employees.This accountability is applicable to expatriate. employees only. Quality, Health, Security, Safety and EnvironmentEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Section to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/servicesRequirements:Required (Qualification1 / Discipline): Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.Preferred (Qualification1 / Discipline): Master Degree in Chemical Engineering. ExperienceRequired (Years2 / Job Level3 / Industry): Total of 7-10 years of experience in Petrochemicals Industry in Process Engineering.Preferred (Years2 / Job Level3 / Industry): Experience in Oil Gas Industry.
