Function Overview: Plant design and Piping (PD and P) : Bechel India as part of the engineering function is supporting projects across multiple business lines for Energy, Power, Mining and M and T. PD and P has capabilities within our team to support projects from FEED phase to Detail Engineering phase including construction/site support. PD and P can support projects with Layout Design, Stress and Flexibility Analysis, Pipe Support Design, Materials and Automation capabilities. PD and P helps provide core competencies for Bechtel projects : Plot Plans, Piping Layout, Piping Specifications, Stress Analysis, 3D CADD Modelling and Materials Management. Job Summary and Major Responsibilities: stylemargin:bottom:11.0px: : Directly performs the work of designers and drafters of a design group for a business line technology. This work includes the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 3:D Design models and 2:D construction drawings. : Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Requires a basic knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, graphic arts, 2D and 3D CAD, reading of drawings and reproduction methods. : Prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort. : Coordinates or makes jobsite visits, as required, to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents. : Reviews or defines engineering scope changes, as required, for project management. : Endorses
