Summary: : A recognized degree in electrical engineering discipline, from an accredited college or university. : Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience . : Relevant work experience in FEED, proposal and detailed engineeringpreferably in an EPCindustry for large industrial plants, power projects, utilities, oil and gas plants. : Responsible for assigned activities in electrical engineering discipline. Job Dimensions: Supervision Received : Receives operational supervision and technical guidance from Senior Engineer. Supervision Exercised : Supervises and provides technical direction to designers and drafters as assigned. Contact : Contacts counterpart in other disciplines, supplier/client representatives and project field personnel when directed, to either gather or give information . Essential Job Duties: : Performs electrical discipline work which involves the preparation, interpretation or review of calculations, specifications, electrical layout plans including lighting and grounding systems. : Participates in one or more of the following: : ETAP/Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL) : Equipment design and development : System design, including concept sketches and layouts : Preparation of specifications and design calculations : Reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers or by suppliers : Preparation or review of engineering studies and reports : Preparation or review of material quantity estimates : Uses engineering computer aided design/computer aided engineering (CAD/CAE) tools : Prepares letters for replies to vendor correspondence. : Monitors project controls within discipline. : Reviews design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors of a moderate degree of complexity and prepares comments and recommendations. : Assists in preparation of forecasts, quantity take:offs and change orders. : Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon directness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
