We re seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead the design and development of the structural components of our advanced drone systems. This is a pivotal role where you ll play a key part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our cutting-edge drone products.Responsibilities:1. Design and Analysis: Lead the design and analysis of critical structural components, including frames, wings, landing gear, and other load bearing structures for our drone systems.2. Advanced Engineering Tools: Apply advanced engineering principles, utilize analytical tools, and leverage computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) to develop and optimize intricate structural designs.3. In-Depth Structural Analysis: Conduct comprehensive structural analysis, encompassing stress analysis, vibration analysis, fatigue analysis, and finite element analysis (FEA), ensuring the integrity and high-performance standards of the drone structures.4. Feasibility Studies and Concept Evaluations: Lead feasibility studies and concept evaluations to assess the structural requirements and limitations of new drone designs and technologies.5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, systems engineering, and manufacturing, to seamlessly integrate the structural components within the overall drone system.6. Engineering Documentation: Generate detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes, maintaining precise records.7. Testing and Validation: Oversee testing and validation activities to verify the structural performance of the drone systems, meticulously analyzing test data to identify areas for improvement.8. Industry Trends and Regulations: Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory standards related to drone structures and materials, applying this knowledge to enhance the design and development processes.9. Technical Support and Guidance: Provide expert technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during the production and assembly of the drone structures, ensuring adherence to quality standards.10. Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with external suppliers and contractors for the sourcing and procurement of materials and components related to the drone structures, fostering strong partnerships.Qualifications:1. Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications or specialized training in structural engineering is a plus.2. Experience: A minimum of 10-12 years of proven experience as a Structural Engineer, preferably in the aerospace, automotive, or robotics industry.3. CAD Proficiency: Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.4. Advanced Analysis Skills: In-depth knowledge of structural analysis and design principles, including statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, and fatigue analysis.5. FEA Expertise: Proficiency in using finite element analysis (FEA) software, such as ANSYS or Abaqus, with the ability to analyze and interpret FEA results.6. Materials Expert: Familiarity with various materials used in structural engineering, including composites, metals, and polymers, and their application in lightweight and high-strength designs.7. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply analytical thinking to develop innovative solutions for complex structural challenges.8.
