The Data Analyst I is responsible for the management and manipulation of mostly structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting analysis to distinguish patterns and recognize trends, performing normalization operations and assuring data quality. Roles in this function could partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids and business case analysis to support the organization. The Data Analyst will work on predominately descriptive and regression-based analytics and to leverage subject matter expert views in the design of their analytics and algorithms.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Analyze healthcare claims data to assess trends, evaluate potential operational and clinical opportunities, measure ongoing performance vs. target, identify additional expansion opportunities and reporting duties for Product and ClientsAdopt and apply relevant project management tools/SDLC experience as requiredMaintain high standards of data integrity and quality throughout the department’s data collection-to-reporting pipeline; support in implementation of new methodology, tools and processesSupport ad hoc analytic requests, providing accurate and timely data, analysis and insightful interpretationsIdentify opportunities to improve and enhance analyses and information provided to customersYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:1+ years of experience in a healthcare insurance related fieldHands-on experience with handling and analyzing large data sets of healthcare claims data and other related healthcare industry benchmarks for utilization and cost driversExperience with MS Office Suite/Tools: (MS Word, Power Point, Visio, SharePoint, TableauDatabases (RDBMS) experience (SQL Server, Oracle)Solid computing skills with advanced Excel knowledge and relational database querying, including SQL Server, Oracle etc. Powered by Webbtree
