This position will require attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work with confidential information. The successful candidate will work closely with the Payroll and the Benefits Manager and other team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintenance of documentation and administration of benefits programs using UKG, our HRIS and Payroll system.Essential Functions:Payroll:Assist in processing multi-state, union and non-union biweekly payroll and related transactions for 1200+ employees.Manage garnishments, levies, child support set up and correspondences and maintain all related records.Prepare recurring or ad hoc reports.Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.Support Payroll Manager with various administrative payroll tasks which may include:Hourly time entries and audit in the Time Management (UTM) system.Review and employee data and payroll change logs for payroll processing.Assist employees with direct deposit or other payroll related system requests.Assist with quarterly and year end related tasks.Maintain UKG support cases and related follow-ups.Cross trained to support the full payroll process in the event of an absence.Benefits:Assist in administration of employee benefit programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.Assist with open enrollment processes, providing employees with necessary information and documentation through the UKG system.Support Benefits Manager with various administrative benefits tasks.Other:Perform special projects, process improvement initiatives and other responsibilities as needed.Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices related to payroll and benefits administration in locations where we operate.Position Requirements:Highschool degree or equivalent, bachelor s degree preferredMinimum of 1-2 years related experience with Payroll.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelHighly organized and detailed/accuracy oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments, work independently, and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Keen sense of urgency with flexibility in assignment of responsibilities.Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations.Experience using Ultimate Software/UKG or similar HRIS and Payroll system is preferred.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.A team player who wants to contribute to a thriving culture.
