Control system engineer

Job Title : Control Systems SpecialistJob Type : Full timeJob Location : Colwich, KS.Relocation Assistance : YES Position PurposeThe Control System Specialist II position will design and implement PLC and DCS automation controls for our projects. Responsibilities:Utilize P ID drawings to develop DCS and PLC programs along with HMI graphics for specific projects.Install software and computer equipment at the various plant locations ensuring proper installation and start up.Assist with verification and startup of automated industrial control systems.Provide engineering support our clients, contractors and field personnel on the implementation of the projects electrical designs and automation.Develop ideas and methods for the continuous improvement in the design process and equipment applications.Work with vendors and other departments to procure materials and equipment.Provide support to existing plants in analyzing and resolving problems or addressing other automation issues.Identify electrical issues and determine resolution. Provide motor control circuit and process instrumentation troubleshooting. Education/Certification:Associates or technical degree related field required Required Experience:3-5 years previous DCS and PLC programming experience required, orNetworking, MS system administration, virtual machine configuration, and security experience with some knowledge of control system programming.Preferred experience would be DCS system programming and design of Siemens APACS, Siemens PCS7, Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell Automation, Foxboro or Yokogawa VP3000 control systems.VMware vSphere essentialsAutoCadElectrical panel design.Computer/Server repair experience a plus previous plant experience preferredIndustrial plant startup experience preferred1 year pervious field electrical experience preferred Powered by Webbtree
