Company Profile esrhealthcare.com.mysmartjobboard.com AWS cloud ec2 infrastructure developer jersey City tampa dallas Experience level: Mid-senior Experience required: 5 Years Education level: Bachelor’s degree Job function: Information Technology Industry: Financial Services Pay rate : $90 per hour Total position: 1 Relocation assistance: NoThis role is Contract to Hire: Contract lasting 6 months based on performanceThe Automation Enablement team is focused on building the capabilities of the DTCC community by enabling Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with a goal of creating operating efficiencies, reducing risk, and improving client experience.Position Summary:The Cloud Infrastructure Developer will focus on providing the capabilities and training needed for DTCC staff to adopt Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage their platform and/or software, with a goal to deliver self-service capabilities that enable the DTCC community and improve customer experience. They will manage their work using agile practices and will use software development principles including version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.Specific Responsibilities:• Define and document standards and best practices for writing Infrastructure as Code• Contribute to an Automation Tools Strategy.• Provide side by side consulting of Infrastructure Developers as they begin their coding journey.• Create automated solutions that enable Infrastructure Developers to test and promote their code with integrated security compliance.• Provide Infrastructure as Code as a service when needed.• Maintain and enhance automated solutions for shared services.• Identify continuous improvement opportunities for existing automated solutions and implement enhancements.• Identify bugs and issues with existing automated solutions and implement fixes.• Administration of our automation tools including but not limited to: user access, monitoring environment health, performing application upgrades, designing infrastructure to meet capacity, performance, and availability needs, providing knowledge transfer to level one support teams, opening support cases with vendor and escalation as needed.• Identify pain points and inefficient processes and develop creative automated solutions to solve them.• Evaluate return on investment of automation opportunities to aid in prioritization.• Establish ways to measure the value our automated solutions will realize for our customers.• Promote the benefits of automation by contributing to communications outlining the value our solutions provide to the organization.Leadership Competencies for this level include:• Accountability: Demonstrates reliability by taking necessary actions to continuously meet required deadlines and goals.• Global Collaboration: Applies global perspective when working within a team by being aware of own style and ensuring all relevant parties are involved in key team tasks and decisions.• Communication: Articulates information clearly and presents information effectively and confidently when working with others.• Influencing: Convinces others by making a strong case, bringing others along to their viewpoint; maintains strong, trusting relationships while at the same time is comfortable challenging ideas.• Innovation and Creativity: Thinks boldly and out of the box, generates new ideas and processes, and confidently pursues challenges as new avenues of opportunity.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline.• 5 plus years of experience writing code to manage Infrastructure or Applications.• Knowledge of configuration management tools and concepts as well as experience coding with at least one tool.• Basic knowledge of Infrastructure components such as storage, networking, and server.• Basic Knowledge of AWS Cloud and Services especially ec2• Good communication skills and problem-solving ability• Desire to learn new technologies and programming languagesPreferred but not required:• Knowledge of the Red Hat Linux Operating System• Experience developing Chef cookbooks or administering the Chef Server• Experience coding with Terraform• Experience developing Ansible Playbooks and administering Ansible Tower/Ansible Automation Platform• Experience with Linux Shell Scripting and/or Python coding• Experience working with AWS cloud services• Experience using git for version control and working knowledge of gitflow• Experience using Scrum or Kanban to manage tasks Powered by Webbtree
