Company Profile esrhealthcare.com.mysmartjobboard.com Watershed management Madison WI Experience level: Mid-senior Experience required: 5 Years Education level: Bachelor’s degree Job function: Engineering Industry: Civil Engineering Compensation: $81,000 - $100,000 Total position: 1 Relocation assistance: Limited assistanceOverview: a leading consulting engineering firm providing Municipal, Water and Wastewater Engineering Services for over 40 years, is seeking a talented and dedicated Watershed Management Specialist to join our engineering team in our Madison office.As a Watershed Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in implementing adaptive management and water quality trading to promote effective and sustainable watershed management practices in our client communities.Responsibilities:Develop and implement watershed management plans in collaboration with government agencies, local stakeholders, and community groups.Conduct comprehensive assessments of watershed health, water quality, and potential sources of pollution.Utilize watershed management techniques to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of phosphorus reduction strategies.Design and implement innovative water quality trading programs to promote efficient and cost-effective pollution reduction.Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices in watershed management, including erosion control, stormwater management, agricultural management, and habitat restoration.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated water resource management solutions that consider the social, economic, and environmental aspects of watershed management.Stay current with the latest research, regulations, and industry trends related to watershed management and water quality trading.Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate findings, funding, recommendations, and progress to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in environmental or civil engineering, agricultural engineering hydrology, ecology, or a related field (Master s degree preferred).Strong knowledge of watershed management principles, adaptive management techniques, and water quality trading mechanisms.Experience in conducting water quality assessments, data analysis, and interpretation.Proficiency in using GIS software, statistical analysis tools, and hydrologic modeling software.Familiarity with relevant federal and state regulations pertaining to watershed management and water quality standards.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Valid driver s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.Inc. offers competitive compensation with qualifications and experience, year-end bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance with 80% company-paid premiums.Reimbursement and support for tuition, continuing education, and professional development.Vacation and sick time, parental leave, and paid holidays.401(k), profit-sharing, and potential for stock ownership (we are 100% employee-owned).Our firm is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and advancement.is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
