You will have high visibility within the broader GILLIG organization while working within a dynamic, fast paced manufacturing environment. You will possess a strong desire to be very hands-on when determining if an issue is design, assembly, or supplier quality relatedResponsible for Issue Management, tracking failure modes, addressing root cause, and verifying closure of issues from assigned ownerLeads root cause investigations related to supplier material non-conformancesParticipates in numerous formalized Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing initiativesResponsible for NPI electrical assemblies and electrical subsystems hardwarDrive issue resolution from root cause analysis to countermeasure implementation on electromechanical components and use analytical tools and techniquesAdminister of Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) process and systeBASIC QUALIFICATIONBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or related fielMinimum of 5 years of experience having Electrical Engineering responsibilities in a manufacturing environmenExtensive knowledge and experience in circuit design, assembly, harnesses, electrical test, APQP/PPAP, as well as applying quality tools such as 8D, Root-cause analysis, etcSolid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyse, think and communicate with well-supported dataCapability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutionsHighly motivated with strong problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-taskStrong demonstrable experience with electrical test equipment: power supplies, multimeter, oscilloscopes, and similar equipmenKnowledge of analogue, digital, and mixed signal circuit design, and analysisUnderstanding and command of circuit simulation and analysis toolsComprehensive experience with hand tools, basic power tools, soldering, and instrumentationExtremely proficient at reading schematics and troubleshootinWorking experience with IPC 600, 610, and 620 and related industry standardWell versed in SAE J193Adept in problem solving skills like Ishikawa, Force-Field, Is-Is Not, Fault treesLabVIEW program development/Data Acquisition experience a pluExperience with Electric Vehicles and high voltage power systems a pluASQ certification or equivalent is a plusMechatronics experience is a plusPrevious experience in vehicle or heavy equipment manufacturing preferredWORK ENVIRONMENAbility to lift up to 25 lbsWorking environment is primarily indoors (office and production environment), however, at times job may require time spent outdoorsRegularly required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally kneel or squatUp to 20% domestic travel required visiting customers, assisting suppliers’ trouble-shooting components at customers, or supplier component validationStandard start time for this role is 5:00AM onsite.x....T...ss.9sg...t....tdSm.e..s...)!e.Y A.:srd start time for this role is 5:00AM onsite.
