You ll help build and maintain an effective culture of Food Safety/Quality (FSQ) and partner with operations to ensure finished product is food safe, meeting product specifications for a high level of customer satisfaction. This role supervises the implementation of FSQ support/evaluation programs and audits procedures to ensure compliance of products/processes to corporate and regulatory requirements at Sabra. This role assists with FSQ execution of source supplier approval, product sourcing functions, produced products, plant sanitation and FSQ related regulatory interaction for the company.Dip Into Your RoleAdministers the implementation of food safety and quality (FSQ) programs including hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) program, sanitation standard operating procedures, pest control, good manufacturing practices, approved supplier program, foreign material control, plant sanitation, chemical control, product quality assurance, FSQ customer complaints, and food defense and security.Actively supports the planning, defining and directing the site internal auditing control program to ensure compliance to all procedures, policies, GMP standards, Sabra requirements, and regulatory laws (federal and local).Oversees the recall and traceability programs including mock recalls.Utilize SAP for tracking and trending.Participate in quality complaint investigations. Verify corrective action completion and continued conformance.Maintain Good Laboratory Procedures (GLP’s) including calibration.Responsible for maintaining/validation/continuous improvement of all laboratory testing and equipment.Support facility during inspections, customer audits, communications, commercialization, and other interactions with regulatory agencies or customers.Mentor and lead site QA and Production team to ensure program goals are met.Collaborate with Production on employee training to ensure food safety and product quality and GMP requirements are followed, and the highest quality standards are maintained.Monitors hold/release system product disposition, code rotation, processing controls, and other production systems.Provides expertise and actively participates in equipment commissioning and startup- ensuring standardization of all applicable quality and food safety procedures.Monitor follow ups of Pathogen Environmental program active plans to investigate, mitigate, and eliminate sources of contamination.Provides expertise and actively participates in equipment commissioning and startup- ensuring standardization of all applicable quality and food safety procedures.Partner with Operations to continuously drive the facility s culture toward a higher level of food safety and quality.Articulate performance and challenges on operational food safety and quality by generating KPI reports for management review and proactively formulate actions need to improve performanceThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by an employee occupying this position.
