This role works closely with Product Management to gather requirements, understand data, and develop prototypes. This role allows the Junior Data Scientist to grow their data analytics, problem solving and communication skills, while also learning more about financial markets.RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with Product Management to define requirements and identify data for new data productsCreate complex SQL queries that aggregate, anonymize, and analyze dataModify existing SQL code for enhancements in existing data productsTranslate analytical results to technical and non-technical audiencesQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 2 years of related experienceBachelor s degree in math, statistics, or computer science preferred or equivalent experienceExcellent SQL skills (Snowflake experience preferred)Strong data analytics and statistical knowledgeKnowledge of database designExperience in Agile MethodologiesExperience in data visualizationExcellent communication skills – able to communicate technical information to non-technical team membersFosters a culture where honesty and transparency are expectedADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working with Snowflake, AWS, PowerBI and/or LookerInterest in Machine LearningExperience or interest in PythonExperience with version control systems, such as gitABOUT: DTCC safeguards the financial markets and helps them run efficiently, in times of prosperity and crisis.
