As a Copy Editor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all written content is error-free, consistent, and adheres to the company s style guide. You will work closely with writers, editors, and other team members to review and revise written materials to meet high editorial standards.Responsibilities:- Proofread and edit a variety of written content, including articles, blog posts, social media posts, marketing materials, and more- Correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax errors, and ensure consistency in style and tone- Fact-check information and verify sources to ensure accuracy and credibility- Collaborate with writers and editors to provide feedback on improving clarity, effectiveness, and overall quality of content- Ensure adherence to company guidelines and standards for formatting, style, tone, branding, etc.- Work within tight deadlines while maintaining strict attention to detailQualifications:- Proven experience as a copy editor or similar role- Excellent command of the English language with exceptional spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly- Familiarity with various style guides (APA, MLA, AP) is preferred- Proficiency in using editing software/tools such as Microsoft Word s track changes or Google Docs suggested edits- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members remotely Powered by Webbtree
