DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating the timely processing of invoices and payments.As an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner. You will be responsible for verifying and reconciling invoices, matching purchase orders to invoices, and processing payments to vendors. Additionally, you will assist in the regular review and reconciliation of accounts, resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.To excel in this role, you must have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. You should have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and be proficient in relevant software applications, such as Excel and accounting software. Effective communication skills are also important, as you will interact with vendors and internal departments to resolve any issues or inquiries related to invoices and payments.ResponsibilitiesProcess and record invoices, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Match invoices to purchase orders and reconcile any discrepancies.Verify and process payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payments.Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies or issues.Prepare and present reports on accounts payable activities as required.Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices or payments.Assist with the regular audit and review of accounts payable transactions.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in accounts payable/receivable or a related role.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes.Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to accounts payable/receivable.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
