Warehouse operative

DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out various tasks within the warehouse environment to ensure the smooth running of our operations. This is a physically demanding role that requires you to be on your feet for long periods of time, working to tight deadlines and adhering to strict safety guidelines. You will be working a set shift pattern which may include weekends and public holidays.ResponsibilitiesProcessing and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles using a range of equipment.Checking for damaged or missing items and reporting any discrepancies to management.Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment, arranging items for easy access and ensuring goods are stored safely and securely.Working with other team members to ensure that the delivery process runs smoothly and efficiently.Assisting with stock taking and inventory checks, ensuring that records are accurate and up-to-date.Adhering to all health and safety regulations and following all operating procedures to eliminate errors.RequirementsStrong attention to detail and accuracy skills.Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads on a regular basis.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.Experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment would be advantageous.
