As an SR Fiber Splicer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables and networks. You will be working on a variety of projects, both independently and as part of a team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesPerform fiber splicing and termination in both indoor and outdoor environmentsInstall and test fiber optic cables and equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve issues with fiber optic systemsDocument work performed, including splice logs, test results, and other relevant dataCollaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure successful project executionMaintain a neat and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintainedKeep up-to-date with industry best practices and technologiesRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience in fiber optic splicing and installationProficiency in fusion splicing and mechanical splicing techniquesExtensive knowledge of fiber optic components and systemsStrong understanding of OTDR and other fiber optic testing equipmentAbility to read and interpret fiber optic schematics and blueprintsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentPossess a valid driver s license and clean driving recordWillingness to work outdoors in various weather conditionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyExcellent communication and teamwork skills Powered by Webbtree
